Primary Purpose:
Contributes to the University's success by providing support to the College of Dentistry as it relates to tracking and coordinating the purchase of implants and related materials from vendors, while performing data entry. The primary responsibility involves data management and record-keeping related to the educational component of implant dentistry for dental students.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Tracks and coordinates implant and related materials from vendors, obtaining product information, verifying accuracy on invoicing; resolves disputes.
2. Maintains accurate disbursement records by placing product identification in CDM’s inventory software.
3. Reviews accuracy of dental implant purchases and invoices and requests/obtains approval for further processing and payment.
4. Submits quarterly reports for management review.
5. Collates utilization data versus the need to purchase additional implants and related materials and advises college administrators.
6. Responsible for the safe storage and inventory tracking for dental implants, implant parts, membrane, and graft materials. Evaluates the security of “on hand” inventory in the clinical areas and conducts periodic audits of inventory.
7. Interacts with program directors regarding follow-through of clinical faculty and residents in submitting necessary surgical and post treatment data.
8. Coordinates the ordering, receiving, and dispensing of dental implants and parts with patients’ dental appointments for students in adherence to order guidelines and vendor contracts.
9. Maintains accurate clinical data collection, enters data into CDM’s implant management software daily.
10. Upgrades and updates tables; identifies problems and troubleshoots; requests improvements to the CDM utilized software.
11. Assists CDM’s administration with providing data for budgeting and grant requests.
12. Oversees student checkout process, ensuring verification of completed cases as required for graduation.
13. Completes special projects as required.
14. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: Associate’s degree or 60 college completed credits hours
Major (if required:
Required Experience: 1. Minimum three (3) years of experience providing administrative support.
2. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with dental software and inventory programs.
2. Basic understanding of dental coding.
