Primary Purpose:

The faculty member is responsible for teaching, and mentoring students and student research in the doctoral clinical psychology programs and providing consultation in pediatrics related areas for faculty and students. Evidence of scholarly productivity is required. A record of research/ scholarship is desirable. A commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational environment is essential.

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Teaches core clinical psychology courses in the doctoral programs or others as assigned.
2. Provides supervision in the Department of Clinical and School Psychology as assigned by the Chair.
3. Maintains an active research program, including developing peer-reviewed publications.
4. Mentors doctoral students in research.
5. Provides expertise in pediatrics related areas.
6. Creates a climate conducive to learning.
7. Participates in department wide activities such as faculty meetings, assessment, dissertations/directed studies, etc. as assigned.
8. Serves on and contribute to appropriate NSU and College committees, and professional associations.
9. Maintains a professional development plan to assure growth and currency within the academic field.
10. Performs other duties as assigned or required by the Department Chair and/or Dean.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Expertise in consultation-liaison and integrated care.

Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed or License eligible in the state of Florida.

Required Education: Doctoral Degree

Major (if required: Clinical Psychology or related field

Required Experience: 1. Graduate teaching experience.
2. Clinical supervision
3. Psychological research
