Primary Purpose:

Under general supervision of a Principal Investigator or designee, supports moderately complex research activities.

Job Category: Non-Exempt

Hiring Range:  $25

Pay Basis:  Hourly

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Contributes to basic and applied research activities; collects, analyzes, and processes laboratory samples or research data; performs a variety of tests, using routine and special techniques and methods.
2. Provides basic assistance to researchers in manipulating, computing, and analyzing data using specialized statistical computer software.
3. Provides basic assistance to researchers in manipulating, computing, and analyzing.
4. Assists in evaluating research methods, procedures, and techniques based on established objectives.
5. Assists in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses of test results.
6. May perform library research.
7. May participate in formulating research methods and suggesting options for improving quality and recommending solutions.
8. May participate in computer database design and utilization and research/data analysis, and suggest future improvements in data measurement.
9. Performs other job duties as assigned or required.
