Essential Job Functions:
This position is contingent on the availability and continuation of external-funding and/or contract. As such, any offer of employment may be withdrawn or employment ended in the event the external funding and/or contract ceases or is reduced.
1. Reviews research and clinical operating practices and procedures to determine whether improvements can be made in areas such as workflow, reporting procedures, or expenditures.
2. Manages emails, correspondence, and scheduling for principal investigators and NSI ALS clinic directors.
3. Assists with organizing project timelines and tracking progress across multiple clinical and research projects.
4. Serves as a centralized point of contact for research staff and external collaborators.
5. Assists in coordinating travel arrangements and conference registrations for research teams.
6. Participates in preparation and management of research budgets and monetary disbursements.
7. Assists in tracking research budgets and processing expenses for multiple research projects and principal investigators.
8. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of research protocols and reports, and communicates with research finance and the Office of Sponsored Projects.
9. Helps prepare financial reports and maintain grant-related documentation across all sponsored, federally and privately funded research projects.
10. Processes invoices, reimbursements, and procurement requests in compliance with institutional policies.
11. Communicates with Human Resources and Financial Services at NSU Health to ensure correct processing of efforts for each active project.
12. Assesses eligibility of potential subjects through methods such as screening interviews, reviews of medical records, and discussions with physicians and nurses, as needed.
13. Schedules participants for appointments, procedures, or inpatient stays as required by study protocols, as needed.
14. Contacts outside health care providers and communicates with subjects to obtain follow-up information, as needed.
15. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:

2. Medicine and Dentistry - Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventative health-care measures.

Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: High School Diploma
Major (if required:
Required Experience: Four (4) or more years of related relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Associate's Degree with up to two (2) years of relevant experience.
2. Bilingual English-Spanish.
3. Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative or project coordination experience, preferably in a research or academic setting..
