Primary Purpose:

The Job Skills Trainer for Project Empower: The Digital Workforce Lab is responsible for delivering high-quality workforce development instruction to high school seniors, preparing them for entry into digitally focused, customer-facing careers. This role combines technical training, career coaching, and hands-on skill development in Microsoft productivity tools, AI fundamentals, CRM systems, and professional workplace competencies.

The Trainer plays a critical role in equipping participants with industry-recognized certifications, real-world digital skills, and the professional behaviors necessary to secure living-wage employment and advance in modern workforce environments.

Job Category: Non-Exempt

Hiring Range:  $25.00/hour

Pay Basis:  Hourly

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Facilitate engaging, hands-on training sessions
2. Deliver instruction aligned with industry-recognized certifications
3. Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and skill levels
4. Teach core employability skills, including communication, time management and accountability, teamwork, collaboration and conflict resolution.
5. Assist students with goal setting, self-advocacy, and resilience building
6. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support skill mastery and certification attainment
7. Support students in preparing for internships and employment opportunities

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Required Certifications/Licensures: 

Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Required Experience: 1. Experience working in academic setting.
